Currently, Professor Philip Bath holds the position of Chair in Stroke Medicine at the University of Nottingham. Professor Bath has established a research group to investigate acute stroke treatment and secondary prevention.
The group is studying the management of blood pressure in the acute phase of stroke, how to accelerate recovery after stroke by mobilising endogenous stem cells, and how to improve on existing secondary prevention strategies using improved antiplatelet and blood pressure lowering regimes.
