Clinical Fellowships
Until 2007 The Stroke Association awarded two Clinical Fellowships each year, to allow doctors to specialise in stroke care for one year. These fellowships aim to increase the number of doctors with a specialist knowledge of stroke, so that patients may receive improved care whilst in hospital.
Awards are made to institutions that can provide an educational programme and the expert supervision required to enable a specialist registrar to gain the appropriate clinical experience required for a career in the prevention, treatment or rehabilitation of stroke.
