This study will look at the number of strokes that occur in children under 16 years old in the UK, the proportion of these who die and the physiological problems experienced by those who survive. It will also investigate how cases are managed within the healthcare system. This is an epidemiological study which will lay the groundwork for future studies focussing on the treatment given to these patients.
