Raising awareness
One of the key areas of work undertaken by The Stroke Association is raising awareness of stroke and the work that we do. Volunteers play a key role in these awareness raising activities.
If you are comfortable talking to a diverse range of audiences you might want to become a Stroke Awareness Presentation Volunteer and spread the word to local community groups and organisations.
As a Conference and Event Volunteer you could help support staff in setting up and staffing exhibition stands and talking to people attending the event.
To raise awareness in your local area you could become an Information Volunteer and disseminate literature and information to GP surgeries, health care centres and other appropriate locations.
As a stroke survivor you could become a Media Volunteer and share your personal experience of stroke.
