Life After Stroke Services

As part of our Life After Stroke Services volunteers support stroke survivors and their families and carers in a wide variety of ways.

As a Communication Support Volunteer you could be supporting stroke survivors who have communication difficulties either in a group, on a one-to-one basis in their home or out in the community.

In our Stroke Health Promotion services you could be supporting people in making changes to their lifestyles to reduce the risk of stroke.

Befrienders support stroke survivors by promoting independent living and reducing social isolation.

Telephone Volunteers provide support over the telephone by making regular review phone calls to our service users and their families and carers.

As part of a Stroke Association Stroke Support Group you could help provide a meeting place for people who have had a stroke. The group meetings provide members the opportunity to share experiences and take part in activities that can help with their long term recovery.
