Renewing vows for 25 year anniversary

Hi there! I'm trying to find some advice on how to make this dream a reality for my mother in law. It will be her and her husbands 25 year anniversary which they planned to renew vows for. However John, her husband had a stroke and is only able to say yes, no and sing happy birthday. He can't sign. We've tried. Is there a way they can renew their vows with him just being able to say yes at the I do part? Me and her son are trying to make this dream a reality for them so any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Hi Gemma
What a lovely thing to try and help with and something to look forward to. Not sure if anyone on here can give you advice about what you've asked i would think you'd need to address it with whoever will be conducting the ceremony. eg Vicar, registrar
Good luck hope all goes well.
