Local and online stroke support groups

Stroke support groups are a safe and supportive space to try things again, to learn more about stroke and self-care and to build your confidence as you rebuild your life after stroke. Stroke support groups meet in different ways, some are meeting face to face, others are providing support online. To get support and meet other people affected by stroke, click on the tabs below to see what’s available in your local area and online.

You can search for your local group by postcode below or view all groups on a map.

We've been welcoming people affected by stroke for over 30 years and are always able to welcome new members along with a family member or carer if they wish. Our group has around 50 members, who enjoy meeting for a coffee and catch up. We frequently arrange activities such as singing, quizzes and tabletop gardening as well as lunches - however these are entirely optional! Many members prefer to simply sit and chat with their friends.
