Fast and flat, the Edinburgh Marathon was voted the fastest marathon in the UK by Runner's World. It's ideal for your first marathon or if you're looking for a personal best. The 2019 event will take place on Sunday 26 May.
Starting on Potterrow in the grounds of one of the oldest Universities in the world, this incredible city centre start takes you through the very heart of Edinburgh. The route takes you past Greyfriars Bobby and the National Museum of Scotland as well as down the Royal Mile to the historic Holyrood Park. You then head East along the course and finish in Musselburgh.
