Whether this is your first half marathon, or you're a seasoned pro, put on your trainers for the Stroke Association and help make a difference to people's lives.
The 13.1-mile course takes in some of the city’s most iconic sights including the Bullring, the Cadbury World in Bournville and Edgbaston cricket ground. Live music from ‘bands on the run’ keep you motivated every step of the way and thousands of supporters turn out to cheer finishers across the line on Broad Street in the heart of the city centre.
Securing your place
Our Half Marathon Charity Places come with a £200 minimum sponsorship target (not including Gift Aid) and our team is on hand to support you throughout your fundraising and training.
Please note, we do not have any charity places in the 10K distance.
If you already have a half marathon or 10K place, secured directly from the Great Run website, and would like to run for us, please select 'Own Place' below when signing up to join #TeamStroke. There is no registration fee, but you'll still get the same wonderful support as our charity place runners.
Why join #TeamStroke?
Everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke. Taking part in the Great Birmingham Run means you are part of the team helping us to continue the work that we do, such as funding stroke support services and researching better treatments, care and rehabilitation.
Along the way, we will support you with training tips and fundraising advice, one-to-one support and you'll also receive your very own Stroke Association running vest to wear with pride on the big day.
