Event Information

Take your place on the 10K or Half Marathon start line for the Stroke Association and soak up that buzzing atmosphere.

Manchester’s original running event boasts a city-centre start and finish, with Half Marathon and 10K routes taking runners out of the city past the iconic football stadiums! Soak up the best of the Mancunian spirit with this course, which lends itself to a great PB. With entertainment zones that celebrate local character and culture at every kilometre, some of the best (and loudest!) crowd support anywhere in the world, and all the action televised live on the BBC, the Great Manchester Run is an event day experience like no other.

Already have a place?

If you already have a Half Marathon or 10K place, secured directly from the Great Run website, and would like to run for us, please select 'Own Place' below when signing up to join #TeamStroke. There is no registration fee, but you'll still get the same wonderful support as our charity place runners.

Why join #TeamStroke?

Everyone deserves to live the best life they can after stroke. Taking part in the Great Manchester Run means you are part of the team helping us to continue the work that we do, such as funding stroke support services and researching better treatments, care and rehabilitation.

Along the way, we will support you with training tips and fundraising advice, one-to-one support and you'll also receive your very own Stroke Association running vest to wear with pride on the big day.
