The London Marathon is the world’s largest, and we’d love to have you take on this world-famous 26.2 mile route!
You’ll join 50,000 runners starting from Greenwich, taking in some of London’s most famous landmarks before finishing on the Mall in front of Buckingham Palace.
By running with #TeamStroke, not only will you be supported every step of the way, but you’ll also be part of the team that enables more stroke survivors to rebuild their lives after stroke.

To apply for one of our charity places, please complete the ‘Charity Place’ application form at the bottom of the page. Please be as detailed as possible as to why you would like to run for us and how you plan to raise your pledged target.
Those who secure a place will need to pay a £50 registration fee and pledge to raise at least £2,000 for the Stroke Association.
Please set a reminder to ensure that you also apply to the ballot as we are always hugely over-subscribed for our charity places, so this will increase your chances of getting a prestigious 2022 London Marathon place.
If you have already secured your own place in the London Marathon ballot and would like to run for #TeamStroke, please choose the ‘Own Place’ registration option. There’s no registration fee or minimum fundraising pledge, with everything you raise helping to fund our vital work. You will receive exactly the same support as those with a charity place. We do however have a £300 minimum sponsorship requirement to attend our post-race party.
Virtual Own Place
If you have secured your own place in the Virtual London Marathon, we would love you to use your place to run with #TeamStroke. There’s no registration fee or minimum fundraising pledge, with everything you raise helping to fund our vital work.
To let us know, fill in the ‘Virtual Own Place’ registration form at the bottom of this page.
