What is Step Out for Stroke?
Step Out for Stroke is the perfect opportunity for stroke survivors, friends and families to take part in a walk together. Each step you take helps raise awareness of stroke and vital funds for our work in supporting those affected by stroke.
The great thing about Step Out for Stroke is that you can walk at your own pace and in your own time. So, whether you walk just a few steps or the full mile, you’re doing something amazing. Don’t forget to encourage friends and family to enter too and join you on the walk.
What to expect on the day
Upon arrival at Duthie Park, you will check in at our registration desk located beside the fountain at the Riverside Drive entrance. The registration desk will be open from 9:30am. At 10:30am your step out will begin, taking you on a 1 mile (approx.) walk, beginning at the fountain next to the Riverside Drive entrance. You will follow wide paths towards the Winter Gardens before returning back through the park, passing the ponds before returning to the fountain. All our Step Out for Stroke routes are suitable for all ages and abilities, including stroke survivors.
