What is Step Out for Stroke?

Step Out for Stroke is the perfect opportunity for stroke survivors, friends and families to take part in a walk together. Each step you take helps raise awareness of stroke and vital funds for our work in supporting those affected by stroke.

The great thing about Step Out for Stroke is that you can walk at your own pace and in your own time. So, whether you walk just a few steps or the full mile, you’re doing something amazing. Don’t forget to encourage friends and family to enter too and join you on the walk.

What to expect on the day

Upon arrival at Grosvenor Park, you will check in at our registration desk located at the Activity Zone. The registration desk will be open from 10.30am. At 11.00am your step out will begin, taking you on a 1 mile (approx.) walk beginning at the Activity Zone. You will Step Out along tree-lined paths through the beautiful Grosvenor Park. All our Step Out for Stroke routes are suitable for all ages and abilities, including stroke survivors.

How to get there

Your Step Out for Stroke Chester event will be held at Grosvenor Park, Grosvenor Park Road, Chester, CH1 1QQ

If you are driving, please note there is no parking onsite. However, there is an NCP car park located on Pepper Street, just 200 yards from the park.

If you are traveling on public transport, local buses 1, 11, 11A, 12, 16, 61, 62 and X1 all stop outside the park.

How your support helps

When stroke strikes, part of your brain shuts down. And so does a part of you. Life changes instantly and recovery is tough. But the brain can adapt. Our specialist support, research and campaigning are only possible with the courage and determination of the stroke community. With more donations and support from you, we can rebuild even more lives.
