It’s back! Our Super Early Bird Registration is now open for our 2018 Thames Bridges Bike Ride.

Join #TeamStroke, saddle up and take on our 55, 35 or eight-mile circular routes that lead you through our nation’s capital. Taking in world-famous landmarks, crossing iconic Thames Bridges and being cheered across the finish line by family, friends and the Stroke Association at our event hub!

Our 55-mile Challenge and 35-mile Classic routes steer by beautiful and iconic landmarks such as Big Ben, the Palace of Westminster, Buckingham Palace and Trafalgar Square, to name a few. Not to mention passing over famous bridges such as Tower and Westminster.

The eight-mile Mini is mainly on cycle paths crossing London bridges; perfect for anyone new to cycling and families wanting to take part together.

Back at the event hub you’ll get your well-deserved finishers’ medal before joining us for some fun entertainment. You can take advantage of the catering facilities, meet up with family or friends, or just relax and take a breather.

With commemorative t-shirts for all riders, signed routes, support vehicles and a snack stop, this is a great way to spend an autumnal Sunday.

What we offer

When you join Team Stroke you will receive:

  • chipped timing and race numbers
  • commemorative Thames Bridges Bike Ride t-shirt
  • fully signed routes with support vehicles (mechanical and medical) and refreshment stop
  • mobile app providing full event details
  • GPX files of the route
  • finishers medal and post-event entertainment
  • regular training emails, fundraising pack and fundraising officer to support you.

Fundraising commitment

There's no fundraising commitment when you enter the Thames Bridges Bike Ride, but we would love for you to raise what you can through your challenge, with our support.

Those that raise over £250 before race-day will join our VIP team and receive post-race goodies to help celebrate at our event hub.

Your entry fee covers the cost of organising this flagship event, so it would be brilliant if you could raise funds through your cycle challenge to help fund our vital life-saving services to support 1.2 million stroke survivors across the UK.
