About this service

Central Lancashire Active Lives After Stroke sessions are funded by the National Lottery and awarded through Sport England to help you to get back into being active at your own pace with other stroke survivors. Sessions are designed with stroke survivors to get you moving in a fun and friendly environment. They are run in blocks, throughout the year, please use the below contact details for more information about specific activities, times, dates and locations.

This service offers:

  • free physical activity sessions
  • support from staff and volunteers to become active and stay active
  • information and leaflets about healthy living
  • support to access other activities in the community.

Who is this service for?

If you are a stroke survivor in Central Lancashire doing less than 30 minutes a week of something that gets you out of breath, feeling warmer and raises your heart rate, Active Lives After Stroke sessions could be for you. Carers, family or friends are also welcome to support at the sessions.

If you are unable to find a suitable service or group in your area, contact our Stroke Helpline on 0303 3033 100 or email helpline@stroke.org.uk, and we may be able to put you in touch with alternative support.
