Saffron Walden Stroke Club offers help to local stroke survivors with their rehabilitation and reintroduction into the community. The Stroke Club is open to anyone who has suffered a stroke, their families and carers.
The Club meets every Tuesday at The Café in Cornell Court at 12 noon to 2.45pm for a social lunch. This is an opportunity for members and their families to talk and practice communication in a safe space. In addition to exercise activities at the leisure centre, we also organise monthly days out for our members.
From 2.45pm to 4pm every Tuesday you can join us for an exercise session with a registered exercise professional in The Dance Studio at Lord Butler Leisure Centre. The cost is £5:50 per person, payable on arrival at reception by card only. If you can’t make it on a Tuesday, there is also an exercise session every Wednesday from 2.30pm to 3.30pm. Anyone wishing to take part in these sessions will need to complete an assessment with the fitness instructor beforehand. We can arrange this for you so please do let us know if you are interested.
