About this service

The Liverpool Emotional Support Services provides counselling and emotional support to stroke survivors and their carers in the City of Liverpool. Together, we can explore issues such as loss, adjustment, relationships, understanding guilt and anger, and building confidence and self-esteem.

This service offers:

  • an assessment of your emotional needs
  • support to help you understand the emotional impacts of stroke
  • counselling sessions
  • the opportunity to engage with others through peer support.

Who is the service for?

This service is for stroke survivors (including TIAs/mini-strokes) of any age, and families and carers of people affected by stroke, living in Liverpool.
