About this service

Powys Community Integration Service is a Stroke Association-led service in Powys aimed at supporting people affected (either directly or as a carer) by a stroke or other neurological conditions or have suffered a brain injury. The service sees neuro cafes being established across Powys which provides peer support to people who have been affected by stroke or living with a neurological condition.

This service offers:

  • information and support by a trained Stroke Association member of staff
  • leaflets, factsheets and information about Life after Stroke Grants and benefits
  • information regarding accessing local leisure and social activities
  • support for carers, and links to other organisations and networks.

Who is the service for?

This service is for stroke survivors (including TIAs/mini-strokes) of any age, and families and carers of people affected by stroke as well as people living with a neurological condition or who have suffered a brain injury living in the Powys area, including Newtown, Ystradgynlais, Brecon, Welshpool, Llandrindod Wells and Llanidloes.
