What is a Stroke Association Voluntary Group?

Stroke Association Voluntary Groups are peer support groups run by our volunteers. They form part of the Stroke Association and operate under our name and charity number. All group activities reflect our values and follow our policies and guidelines.

Resources and training

Stroke Association Voluntary Groups are supported by our staff and have access to a range of resources, training and materials to enable volunteers to provide excellent peer support to people affected by stroke.
Volunteers also have access to our in-house learning platform, STAR, where they can learn online, access face to face courses and track their learning development.
For more information on becoming a Stroke Association Voluntary Group or about our training and resources, please contact your regional office.
