Greater Manchester Moving Forward After Stroke programme provides a 12-week programme of exercise and support for stroke survivors. The specifically designed exercise and self-management education sessions can help you to improve physical fitness and mobility, explore positive lifestyle changes, and help reduce the risk of further stroke.

This service offers:

Tailored exercise rehabilitation and wellbeing groups;Prevention advice and support in making positive lifestyle changes which can help reduce your risk of further stroke;Opportunities to build relationships; Signposting to other organisations that could help.

Who is this service for?

This service is for stroke survivors (including TIAs/mini-strokes) of any age, and families and carers of people affected by stroke, living in only Stockport, Salford and Rochdale. This programme caters for a maximum of eight people.
