Around 5000 participants are expected to set off on their 13.1 mile journey from Ormeau Park in a bid to complete the target half marathon event in Northern Ireland: the 7th Deep RiverRock Belfast City Half Marathon.
The Deep RiverRock Belfast City Half Marathon is one of the leading marathons in the UK and Ireland. The 2019 route remains the same as 2018. The race will start at the Ormeau Embankment and participants will go through Ormeau Park to get to the east of the city. From there, runners will follow the Airport Road and go straight through the city centre, before heading west and going up the Falls Road. The route takes them back into the city via the Dublin Road, through the University Area and back to Ormeau Park. Finish Line is at the Tennis Arena.
