Deep Riverrock Belfast City Marathon 2020

Summary

The Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon is one of the leading marathons in the UK and Ireland and is an AIMS Certified Race. 

Content slice

The 2020 route remains the same as 2019. The Race will start at the Ormeau Embankment and participants will go through Ormeau Park to get to the east of the city. From there, runners will follow the Airport Road and go straight through the city centre, before heading west and going up the Falls Road.  The route takes them back into the city via the Dublin Road, through the University Area and back to Ormeau Park. Finish line is at the Tennis Arena.

Reading Half Marathon takes place on a flat fast course, taking in the highlights of Reading and through the scenic grounds of the university.

You will experience a fantastic atmosphere and huge crowd support. This is a great event if you are a beginner or hoping for a personal best.

The Dublin Marathon is sometimes referred to as the 'Friendly Marathon' because of the warm, friendly supportive nature of the crowds. Up to 20,000 runners are expected to participate with many coming from nearby Britain and other overseas nations.

The Dublin Marathon is a single, relatively flat loop, starting and finishing in the city centre near Trinity College. The race starts at Fitzwilliam Street, taking runners through and past many of Dublin's historic Georgian streets, including Trinity College, Herbert Park, St Stephens Green and Phoenix Park. Eventually participants reach the finish line at Merrion Square North.

Run the Bath Half Marathon for Team Stroke, and be part of one of the longest established and most popular city centre road events in the UK, with a fantastic atmosphere that’s second to none. This flat, fast course goes through the heart of the historic city centre of Bath, straddling both sides of the river Avon and avoiding all the surrounding hills. Take part in this amazing event while helping us raise money for those affected by stroke.

We have a limited number of Gold Bond charity places still available. Registration costs £25 and we have a fundraising target of £200. If you have your own place and would like to run for us, please let us know and we can support you every step of the way.

All EMF Junior events take place in Holyrood Park:

  • EMF Junior 5k – For ages 11 to 18.
  • EMF Junior 2k – For ages 9 to 10.
  • EMF Junior 1.5km – For ages 6 to 8.
  • EMF Kids Kilometre – For ages 3 to 6.

The EMF Hairy Haggis Team Relay is a great way to take part in the Edinburgh Marathon but without needing to run 26.2 miles. The marathon is split into four legs, with each runner taking on one leg:

  • The Royal Leg, 8.3 miles.
  • The Cock and Pan Leg, 5.5 miles.
  • The Gosford Leg, 8 miles.
  • The Glory Leg, 4.4 miles.
