Give a Hand and Bake

Thank you

Thank you to all those that rolled up their sleeves and helped Bake a difference during Give a Hand and Bake Week. Whether you baked it, faked it or even ate it, you and all those that supported Give a Hand and Bake Week are helping to make a real difference to people like Martha and many more.

We have been looking through some of the pictures that you have sent in, but if you haven’t had a chance to do so then it’s not too late. Post them on our Facebook page or tweet them using #GiveaHand and #StrokeAssoc or simply email them to

For all those that have collected your donations, there are three simple ways to send it in.

  • Send us a cheque made payable to 'The Stroke Association' and return it using the freepost envelope provided in the pack. If you don’t have the envelope, you can send it directly to The Supporter Care Team, Stroke Association, 1 Sterling Business Park, Salthouse Road, Northampton, NN4 7EX. Please attach the donation form too so that we can claim the all-important gift aid. Remember to attach a cover letter with your details so we can thank you.
  • Go online and make a donation on our Give a Hand and Bake donation form and make an easy online payment.
  • Call our Supporter Care Team and make a payment over the phone. Simply dial 0300 330 0740 and one of our friendly team will be happy help.

Thank You

Why Give a Hand?

Did you know that 75% of stroke survivors lose the use of one of their hands following their stroke? Many have to re-learn to write, eat and even brush their teeth using the hand they wouldn’t normally use.

Give a Hand week is our way of supporting those who face a daily struggle to rebuild their lives – and honouring those who have lost a loved one to stroke. Thanks to you and events like Give a Hand and Bake, the Stroke Association can continue to be there so they don’t have to face recovery alone.
