We know that making or updating a Will may seem like a daunting task and we will be more than happy to help. We can’t give legal advice, but we can answer questions and provide information on anything else you might need to know about leaving a gift in your Will to the Stroke Association.
Free Will Scheme
At the Stroke Association we run a year-round Free Will Scheme in co-operation with a large number of solicitors across the country.
If you or your partner are a stroke survivor or aged 60 or over you can make or update your Will completely free of charge. The offer covers both single Wills and mirror Wills (Wills containing nearly identical instructions).
You don’t have to leave a legacy to the Stroke Association to take part but we’d be immensely grateful if you did consider the difference a gift in your Will could make.
When Arthur had a stroke he thought life would never be the same again. Determined to recover, and with the help of the Stroke Association, Arthur threw himself into his favourite hobby – building model boats. That very same year Arthur went from being semi-paralysed to winning the top prize at the Blackpool boat competition.
Legacy gifts fund almost half our work, helping us support people affected by stroke and fund critical research. Thanks to the people who remember us in their Will, more people like Arthur are rebuilding their lives every day.
