Over 8,000 people have signed our Open Letter calling for better support for people affected by stroke.
The Open Letter calls for action on the back of our Stroke Recoveries at Risk report, which we published in September. This was based on the results of a survey of 2,000 stroke survivors and carers, and highlighted the ways in which stroke care has been impacted by the pandemic.
This World Stroke Day, 29 October 2020, we're delivering the Open Letter to Matt Hancock and the Department for Health and Social Care.
And there are more plans in place to ensure politicians across the UK know of the widespread support we have for our recommendations.
We’ve also shared an update with MPs and the Department of Health and Social Care, urging them to commit to supporting the recommendations from the report and give people hope after stroke.
We’ll still need your help in the weeks and months ahead. If you would like to get involved with the next stage of our campaign, please join our Campaigns Network.
