The annual Edinburgh Stroke Winter School aims to help new or aspiring stroke academics develop answerable research questions. The three-day course concentrates on the first three steps of developing a research project: defining the research question; choosing the best design; and presentation to potential funders and collaborators.
The next Winter School will take place from Monday 18 to Wednesday 20 February 2019, at the Salisbury Green Conference Centre, Edinburgh.
The Winter School is delivered by a group of stroke physicians, radiologists, neurologists and pathologists who will work with participants to develop a research question that is new and is feasible for a PhD or MD project. At the end of the school participants present their research question to a panel of experts.
Applications are encouraged from all specialities relevant to patients with stroke, including medicine and the allied health professions.
