We’re excited to announce that the Stroke Association has been selected to go through to the employee vote stage to become the Mace Foundation’s Charity of the Year for 2018.
This partnership could be worth over £50,000 for the Stroke Association, to help improve people’s life after stroke. This is a huge opportunity for us to make a transformational difference to our dedicated Stroke Helpline and vital lifesaving research – and will bring us a step closer to conquering stroke. But without your help, this simply isn’t possible.
How can I personally make a difference?
In spread the word with us – by talking to people about the vote, and sharing our social media posts – you’ll help us to win as many votes as possible, even if you don’t work for Mace yourself.
Every single vote really does make a difference.

Vote for Stroke Association and you can make a transformational difference.
Your vote could the change lives of the 22 million people connected to stroke across the UK, and here is how…
Why your vote is so important
A stroke is a brain attack. It is caused by a clot or a bleed on the brain. A stroke can happen to anyone, at any time; the hardworking dad, the baby daughter, the young mum, the football team mate.
Stroke strikes every 5 minutes in the UK. It can rob you of your speech, your vision, your ability to walk, your memory, your independence and your dignity. It can also kill you in an instant.
Stroke kills more women in the UK than breast cancer, and more men that prostate and testicular cancer combined. With your vote we can change this.
Despite the huge scale of the problem, stroke remains significantly underfunded and misunderstood. The Stroke Association raises just 7% of the funding of the biggest UK health charity. We must bridge this gap – with your vote we can.
Through stroke research, we can limit the devastating impact of stroke both now, and for future generations of stroke survivors, and £50,000 invested in clinical research would change the landscape of stroke research.
£50,000 from the Mace Foundation could also go towards running the Stroke Helpline, to be there for stroke survivors, their carers and loved ones when they need us most.
Your vote can make a real difference - only by working together with Mace, and people just like you, can we conquer stroke.
