Choir continues!

A lot of things have had to change over the past month, due to the worldwide spread of the coronavirus. It's been a very unsettling time for everyone. Of course, it meant that our weekly choir rehearsals had to stop.

Performance at Tameside General Hospital Stroke Unit

On Monday 30 September, the choir visited Tameside Hospital to sing to staff and patients on Ward 45. The performance was also attended by His Worshipful the Civic Mayor of Tameside Leigh Drennen and his consort Cory James.

Performing at Wythenshawe Hospital

On Monday, 8 July 2019, the choir visited Wythenshawe Hospital to perform to patients, staff and families on their Stroke Ward.

Perfoming on Ward 31, Manchester Royal Infirmary

The choir really enjoyed performing at Manchester Royal Infirmary's Stroke Ward on Monday 17 June.

We recieved a warm welcome from all patients, carers and staff, and were very pleased to see plenty of audience participation!

Bramhall and Woodford Rotary Dragons Den!

Bramhall & Woodford Rotary Duck Race Fundraiser

On Sunday 19 May, The NW Community Stroke Choir joined forces with The Christie Rhythm of Life Choir to give a joint performance at the Bramhall and Woodford Rotary Duck Race Fundraiser.

Regional Life After Stroke Awards

After opening the national Life After Stroke Awards in London last November, it was wonderful to also be given the opportunity to open our very own regional North West Life After Stroke Awards in AJ Bell Stadium, Salford.

BBC Radio 5 Live

The choir became radio stars on December 18, with three songs recorded at Media City, Salford, and featured on BBC Radio 5 Live! 

The recordings formed part of a feature which included one of our amazing choir members, Ann Williams, sharing her very moving stroke story.
