The Stroke Association has partnered with the National Institute for Health Research to fund Pre-doctoral Clinical Academic Fellowships.
The deadline for applications has now passed.
The Fellowships create dedicated time for healthcare professionals in England working in an eligible profession to develop an application to a competitive, peer-reviewed doctoral level research training fellowship. They also fund programmes of academic training to equip awardees with the skills and experience necessary for them to access doctoral level funding.
Duration
Fellowships are normally a two-year award, during which the Fellows split their time equally between their clinical position and the academic training funded through the Fellowship.
Alternatively, the Fellowship can be taken up part time over 30 to 40 months, or applicants can propose to undertake the Fellowship full time over 12 months.
Apply
Please visit the NIHR website for more information, details of how to apply, and guidance for applicants. Anyone interested should contact the Stroke Association via research@stroke.org.uk to discuss their research area before applying.
