Driving after stroke
Resource type: Information leaflet
Publication type: Stroke information
After having a stroke, you may be eager to get back in the driving seat. This guide explains how stroke and transient ischaemic attack (TIA) can affect your ability to drive, and the procedures that you should follow with the DVLA (DVA in Northern Ireland) if you want to drive again.
It also lists organisations that can provide further information and support, as well as information about some alternative transport options.
