Find out what life is really like after a stroke in our Life After Stroke campaign summary.

People told us that recovery means different things to different people. For some it meant being able to pick up the kids from school, for others returning to work or singing in a choir. Recovery is as unique as individuals.

People also told us that there were things stopping them recover – things like health and social care not working together or the benefits system not understanding stroke and its impacts. That's why we launched the Life After Stroke campaign.
