The Stroke Association funds talented researchers working in a range of different areas to become research leaders. This can improve stroke care and treatment.

The Stroke Association plans to continue working with other funders to increase the amount of money dedicated to stroke research, and raise awareness of stroke and its devastating effects.

With over 1.3 million stroke survivors in the UK, and this number increasing, The Stroke Association plans to continue supporting research in stroke rehabilitation. We’ll also fund research into stroke emergency care and treatment, and prevention of stroke in stroke survivors to help them live the best life they can after stroke.

Goal A of our corporate strategy is to make stroke the priority it needs to be, because it has not received the public and political attention it needs.
