Aphasia is a long-term condition and many people will continue to need support for several years after its onset. However, with the right tools and support, even someone with severe aphasia can continue to communicate effectively.
Our Voluntary Groups play an important role in ensuring that stroke survivors do not become socially isolated. They also help to build the confidence and self-esteem of the people who attend. As a Stroke Group Supporter you will be helping the committee run and support the group.
Our Life After Stroke Services support over 60,000 stroke survivors, carers and families every year to ensure they get the help they need. Mentors and befrienders offer support across all services to stroke survivors and carers.
