Make a donation to stroke research.
Stroke is the biggest cause of complex disability worldwide, with an estimated 1.2 million stroke survivors in the UK today. Living with the long term impact of the condition can be devastating, yet research funding dedicated to stroke remains disproportionately small. With an ageing population, the burden of stroke is set to rise.
Research can prevent strokes and saves lives. We understand just how important researchers are in pushing the boundaries and producing groundbreaking results for the world of stroke. We would like you to become part of our stroke research community.

Medical research is essential to develop new treatments and therapies for stroke so that patients in the UK can get the best possible care. Clinical trials are conducted to test whether a new medical intervention is safe and effective and these trials often rely on the participation of volunteer stroke survivors.
If you’re looking for people affected by stroke to be involved in your research the Stroke Association can help.
