We provide information, advice and support to stroke survivors and their carers and also offer a range of social activities. The group offers a warm welcome, friendly faces and the opportunity to talk to someone who understands what you are going through as they have had similar experiences.
Over 150 stroke survivors, carers, volunteers and stroke professionals attended the UK Stroke Assembly North (30-31 May in Crewe). The aim of the event is to give a voice to people affected by stroke and aphasia, providing an opportunity to meet with and influence decision makers.
The group meets weekly and is a safe and welcoming place for members to socialise with other stroke survivors.
The Outwood Stroke Club is an independent Stroke Club affiliated to The Stroke Association. We offer communication and social support as well as games and quizzes.
