We are an exercise group for stroke survivors. We offer a weekly class for one hour followed by refreshments (except for the last Wednesday of every month) and a chance to socialise with others affected by stroke. Exercises are led by a qualified instructor who has had experience with people who have suffered from a stroke.
SW London Stroke Club (Moving On) provides the opportunity for stroke surviviors to meet in an informal atmosphere where they may share ideas, swap information and enjoy each other's company and support. Family and friends are most welcome and regular Carers Support sessions are offered.
The purpose of this research is to adapt an existing group psychological support course to make it suitable for stroke.
The Preston Life After Stroke Support Group is the main social contact point between Stroke Association staff, volunteers and stroke survivors in the Preston area. We drink tea and coffee, eat biscuits and cake in a relaxed community atmosphere. There are regularly guest speakers who come and talk about stroke-related information.

We are working in partnership with Active Stirling to develop Forth Valley Moving Forward after Stroke. This programme provides a 12-week programme of exercise, advice and support for stroke survivors to help reduce the risk of further stroke. The exercise and education sessions can help you to improve physical fitness, and explore positive lifestyle changes.
