The London Marathon was launched in 1981. With a mainly flat 26.2-mile route around the River Thames, it quickly became arguably the best marathon in the world and over one million people have taken part.

The London Landmarks Half Marathon is a closed road event through central London. It is the only half marathon to go through both the City of London and City of Westminster. Runners start on Pall Mall and finish by Downing Street with stunning views of London’s most iconic landmarks. This event is not your average half marathon.
