UK Stroke Assembly

Have you been affected by stroke?

The UK Stroke Assembly is an event that gives those affected by stroke a voice to talk about the issues that matter to them. If you are a stroke survivor, carer or family member this event is your opportunity to:

  • share your story
  • hear about the latest developments in stroke
  • try something new
  • take action on stroke.

The UK Stroke Assembly is hosted by the Stroke Association and organised in partnership with other national stroke organisations and stroke survivor representatives from across the UK.

''Meeting so many stroke survivors in one place was a great reassurance. It's really nice to know you're doing great and you're not alone.''

When is the next Stroke Assembly?

In 2016 we held three Stroke Assembly events, enabling us to reach even more people affected by stroke:

  • Scotland Stroke Assembly - 15 March 2016, Stirling Court Hotel, Scotland
  • UK Stroke Assembly (North) - 13 - 14 June 2016, East Midlands Conference Centre, Nottingham
  • UK Stroke Assembly (South) - 7 - 8 July 2016, Alexandra House, Swindon

Information about events in 2017 will be anounced in the coming months.

Who is it for?

The UK Stroke Assembly is aimed at anyone affected by stroke. It is an interactive event, tailored towards the needs of stroke survivors and carers. The programme is shaped around the things that matter to you. There are opportunities to meet people with similar experiences to you and engage with decision makers working in the field of stroke.

UK Stroke Assembly 2015

The fifth UK Stroke Assembly was held on 9-10 June 2015.  Over 220 people gathered at the event, with 165 people affected by stroke having their say on matters important to the them. Watch the short video below to see highlights of this event.
