Style for Stroke is an exciting new initiative committed to raising much-needed awareness about stroke among the UK’s younger generations, helping to do away with the myth that strokes only happen to older people. We've been lucky enough to team up with award winning fashion and style PR expert Nick Ede on this campaign.

Nick Ede, founder of the Style for Stroke campaign and the annual Night with Nick in aid of the Stroke Association has been a long standing supporter of ours, having lost his mother to stroke.

Style for Stroke 2016

Style for Stroke launched a new t-shirt for the 2016 campaign designed by well known illustrator and supporter of Style for Stroke, Miss Magpie Fashion Spy.

We partnered with fashion and beauty celebrity Ashley James, fitness professional and TV presenter AJ Odudu, actress and singer Sinitta, fitness columnist Charlie King and Olympian Louise Hazel. Two of our inspirational Stroke Survivor Ambassadors took part in a photoshoot modeling the collection.

The unique t-shirts are available from The adult t-shirt retails at £19, with at least £5 from every t-shirt benefiting the Stroke Association.

Style for Stroke 2015

Following the successful launch in 2014 of the and Style for Stroke collaboration, we partnered with some of the biggest social media stars - vloggers Zoella and Niomi Smart, model Ash Stymest, personal trainers John and Leon aka the Lean Machines and singer Tallia Storm - to create a new collection of personalised t-shirts.

This year the collection expanded across vests and hoodies as well as the classic t-shirts. Three of our inspirational Stroke Survivor Ambassadors took part in a photoshoot modeling the collection.

'Famous Last Words' collaboration 2014

Style for Stroke and came together, collaborating with a host of stars, to raise awareness of Style for Stroke by creating a collection of personalised t-shirts.

The challenge was set to create the ultimate slogan t-shirt featuring the words you would like to be remembered for, creating an exclusive range entitled ‘Famous Last Words'.

Celebrities Kelly Osbourne, Mel B, radio DJ Sarah–Jane Crawford, MTV presenter Lilah Parsons, Revenge actor Barry Sloane, Made In Chelsea’s Binky Felstead and Lucy Watson plus Style for Stroke founder Nick Ede all designed t-shirts for the collaborationThe campaign was created by the F.TAPE team and photographed by Daniel Jaems.

Nick Ede's story

Nick Ede, Creative Director at EdenCancan PR tells us why he set up the Style for Stroke initiative.

"My mother passed away from a stroke. It changed me and made me realise that I knew nothing about strokes so I was determined to make a difference and raise awareness especially among younger people. I love fashion and style and it seemed like the perfect opportunity to engage a demographic who may not necessarily be engaged in understanding the gravity of stroke and what it can do."
