Erin had a stroke when she was just 29 years old.
"The impact is huge, to a point where you lose yourself, or part of yourself. The hard part is accepting that and I just wanted to be myself again so much.
At the start it's all consuming because the fatigue, the headaches, the brain fog - the not making sense of things fully and nobody really tells you that this is going to happen. So holding on to that hope is so important."
"It’s more important than ever to donate to the Stroke Association, so we can continue to help those who are affected by stroke, not only the stroke survivors but anybody around them that’s been affected."
Please donate today so we can reach more stroke survivors. Your gifts will help to fund vital work – such as the Stroke Helpline, research projects and support groups – and help stroke survivors and their families rebuild their lives.
