Stroke is a leading cause of adult disability in the UK. Two-thirds of people who survive a stroke find themselves living with a disability.

We're the only organisation dedicated to funding research into ongoing rehabilitation for stroke survivors.

Grace's story

Now 29 and with a young family, Grace was just 17 years old when her stroke hit as she was driving to the gym one evening. She's passionate about raising awareness of the causes of stroke and the amazing impact that more research could have on families like hers.

Research has helped to cut the rate of deaths by almost half over the last three decades, but stroke research is chronically underfunded in the UK. Far less is spent 'per survivor' on research into stroke than on research into any other health condition.

Support stroke research

Please donate today to support stroke research.

Make a donation

Your gift could help to fund vital research that could mean everything to a stroke survivor struggling with disability after a stroke. You could help a research team to make a breakthrough that means more stroke survivors can make their fullest possible recovery. Or you could help to fund a specific research role, which means this important kind of research gets the time and focus it deserves.

Together, we can give stroke survivors and their families the progress they need to rebuild their lives.
