After a stroke, around one in three people have difficulty speaking and understanding. This can be terrifying and isolating, particularly at Christmas time. The Stroke Association is helping stroke survivors who are lost for words. With your support this Christmas, even more people can rebuild their lives.
35 people from Bristol took part in a Firewalk in the City centre on Friday 27 February 2015.Together they walked around 1,400 feet over hot coals to raise around £3,500 for the Stroke Association.

We know that there are 1.2 million stroke survivors in the UK. We want to honour these incredible people and with your help we can. So, we’re asking you to Stride for Stroke, one step for each of the 1.2 million stroke survivors in the UK. The 1.2 million steps challenge, works out at 10,000 steps a day for 120 days. In March 2020, Rontec Roadside Retail set out to raise £25,000 to support Stroke Association. Customers using the Roadside Retail facilities were asked to add 25p donations on to their purchase of fuel and groceries.
We’re excited to announce that the Stroke Association has been selected to go through to the employee vote stage to become the Mace Foundation’s Charity of the Year for 2018.
