The Neath Port Talbot Stroke Group was set up in 2014 by local Stroke Information and Advice coordinator, Jason Haynes, who recognised the need for more long-term support in this area of South Wales. The group now has over 50 members, many of whom are stroke survivors in their 30s and 40s.

They are a welcoming, fun and supportive group who hold exciting activities including African drumming, falconry, trips to the theatre and even went on a holiday to Ibiza. They are also passionate fundraisers and regularly host quizzes and parties to help fund the group, as well as taking part in Step Out for Stroke and bucket collections in the local area to raise money for the Stroke Association.
