About Parent-to-Parent Volunteer Calls
If you've been affected by childhood stroke, you might find it helpful to speak to one of our trained parent volunteers. Talking things through on the phone can help you feel more supported, connected and able to take the next step in your child's recovery.
All our volunteers are parents of a child who has had a stroke. They have a wide range of experiences to share. From coming to terms with stroke as a family to returning to school. Parent volunteers also understand and appreciate first-hand the practical and emotional challenges you are facing.
Parents have told us talking things through and sharing experiences with another parent helped. They said it made them feel less alone, more knowledgeable, and confident to cope with the impact of their child's stroke.
