We are a small, friendly group supporting people with Aphasia. We aim to provide a safe, relaxed environment where members can gain confidence in rebuilding their communication skills in a way they find most comfortable. This can include gesturing, writing, drawing and speaking.
Conversation is reinforced by varied activities to help with such common problems as wordfinding. Our sessions sometimes include music and arts and crafts. We always have a break for coffee/tea and biscuits. We enjoy occasional outings to the local theatre, the local pub for lunch and coffee shop for coffee and cake. Friendship and laughter are important to us and we warmly welcome new members to share this with us.
Members should be able to go to use the lavatory independently or have a carer with them.
