Description

We have approximately 30 to 40 stroke survivor and carer members, plus around 15 volunteers. We love to welcome new members.
Meetings involve 30 to 45 minutes of seated / standing exercise run by a qualified and insured physiotherapist, followed by a social chat over tea and coffee and some kind of entertainment such as a quiz or a talk. The first visit is free of charge; after that it’s £3 per meeting.
We also organise periodic outings. In addition there is a popular Aphasia group for people with difficulty with or loss of speech which meets in Maldon library weekly. Joining criteria: All welcome however we are not able to help with personal care.
