Description

The therapy centre ensures that those who have a stroke can access immediate support to understand their condition, come to accept their circumstances, but also have aspirations that can be supported via therapy and a peer support group.
The service is about therapy and home visits, self referrals and attendance at one of our therapy sessions is a game changer for stroke survivors and their families. If a family member is struggling with a personality change with their loved one, our emotional counselling service helps a person to understand and develop coping strategies to deal with this.
The therapy centre supports with rehab in the widest sense of the word. Exercise, neuro-physio, nursing experience, cognitive support, counselling, art therapy, social groups, carers groups, friendship lunches and much more. The stroke therapy centre is about acceptance and the onward journey to a level of independence and self-confidence to negotiate the challenges of the stroke conditions.
