2020 has been a challenging year for many, but it’s been particularly difficult for those who have lost a love one or have been grieving during the pandemic. Many families who have experienced a death during lockdown are finding comfort in planning a memorial event to celebrate the life of their loved one at a time when larger gatherings are able to go ahead.
If you are planning a memorial event and would like to talk to someone about including a fundraising angle or collection, please contact our Supporter Care Team on firstname.lastname@example.org or 0300 3300 740.
Arranging a collection
A really easy way to arrange a collection is to set up a Tribute Fund in your loved one’s memory. Tribute Funds are an online space where you can share stories, memories, photos and videos of your loved one with friends and family. All you would need to do is set up a Tribute Fund and share the link with everyone attending the memorial event.
If you are wishing to organise a cash collection at your memorial event, you may be interested in our collection envelopes. These envelopes are a really effective way to donate, as they are eligible for Gift Aid, this means that any donation is boosted by an extra 25% - you can find out more about Gift Aid here. To request our envelopes, please call our Supporter Care Team on 0300 3300 740 or email email@example.com
