We know that many families find comfort in planning a remembrance event to celebrate the life of their loved ones.

Arranging a collection
A really easy way to arrange a collection is to set up a Tribute Fund in your loved one's memory. Tribute Funds are an online space where you can share stories, memories, photos and videos of your loved one with friends and family. All you would need to do is set up a Tribute Fund and share the link with those wishing to attend the event.
If you are wishing to organise a cash collection at your remembrance event, you may be interested in our collection envelopes. These envelopes are a really effective way to donate, as they are eligible for Gift Aid, this means that any donation is boosted by an extra 25% - you can find out more about Gift Aid here. To request our envelopes, please call our Supporter Relations team on 0300 3300 740 or email supporter.relations@stroke.org.uk.
Paying in donations
Please do pay in your donations online or contact us by phone wherever possible.
When paying in donations, we'd like to make sure that we process and acknowledge the donation correctly, so please let us know the following:
- The name of the person the donation is being made in memory of.
- Your name, address and relationship to the person the donation is being made in memory of.

When returning collection envelopes, please ensure they are sealed safely within another envelope before sending to the above address. If you have collected cash, please do not send this to us through the post. Please bank the cash and send us a cheque for the equivalent amount or alternatively, you can call our Supporter Relations team on 0300 3300 740 and make a donation over the phone.
Lighting a candle of remembrance
We know that people remember loved ones in lots of different ways, and we have been told that lighting a candle of remembrance can bring a comfort to many. If you're interested in our Stroke Association candles, you can visit our online shop. All of the money raised from our candles goes towards funding stroke research and helping people affected by stroke.
