Driven by our Stroke Support Network
Since it was established in 2005, the Stroke Group Network Conference (formerly called the UK Stroke Club Conference) has grown in numbers and success, becoming the highlight of the year for many group representatives.
The annual event brings together those involved in leading and volunteering from across the Stroke Group Network around the UK. It is an opportunity to:
- Network with others involved in running support groups.
- Share experiences and ideas.
- Learn more about running a sustainable group and supporting members.
- Hearing timely updates from the Stroke Association and the latest news from the stroke community.
It is thanks to the hard work, commitment and passion of those involved in stroke support groups that provide a vital support network in their local community to help rebuild lives after stroke. Connecting thousands of people with others who understand what life can be like after a stroke.
The aim of the conference is to provide our Stroke Support Network with the tools, resources and skills to be able to run their groups effectively. We value the two-way conversations that the conference provides, hearing how support groups are making a difference in their own local areas, the connections they make, and also the challenges they are facing.
By focusing on our achievements and working together to tackle issues, we can find ways to develop and achieve more in the future.
Stroke Group Network Conference 2022
The Stroke Group Network Conference went virtual again in 2022. The event ran as a series of information webinars on Monday 10 and Tuesday 11 October 2022.
